James Reeb Unitarian Universalist Congregation (Madison’s east side, 2146 E Johnson St) is seeking a part-time (12 hours/week) Director of Music Ministry to support our community’s spiritual connection with music, to start January 1, 2026 or as soon as possible after that. Responsibility include:
Be present three Sundays per month to accompany hymns and offer/lead special music; arrange for an accompanist and special music on other Sundays
Lead weekly choir rehearsals September-June
Direct the adult choir on Sunday morning once or twice a month through the choir season
You will be part of fostering a welcoming environment for all to share the joy of making music together. Our adult choir is well-established and has a lot of heart! Our congregation is part of a liberal faith tradition, and we draw from a variety of resources, including contemporary composers and artists.
Looking for start date of Jan. 1, 2026 or as soon as possible after that for the position.
